Stuxnet hits technology industry

A clever malicious software program has invaded computers worldwide.  The program has been functioning using a previously undiscovered hole in the windows operating system . The level of sophistication the program carries serves as a disturbing sign to the level of the sophistication to that of it's creator.
Siemens have already had 5 reports from affected customers in Germany showing that the virus is spreading around sites all over the world . All the sites so far have successfully been able to remove the virus.
The sophistication this virus carries, has got people questioning it's true origin.

  1. I'm a network tech and im noticing a huge increase of malware on UK business networks, the evils of the internet now are concentrating heavily on attacking peoples web browsers, which in some cases leads to complete comprimise.

Many of the viruses found on the web today tend to use private IRC servers to phone home by joining the attackers 'bot-net' to become part of a network of zombie machines which the attacker has full control of!

What's even more worrying is they have full access to your machine including your personal data, they can use your machine as a tool for cyber criminals to launch attacks on against other networks which is pretty common.

Funny thing is this also happens to machines which are fully patched and updated and running updated antivirus and malware protection software. I don't think it's possible to protect yourself fully, afterall nothing is un-hackable and it doesn't matter how safe you think you may be, there's always a way for them to get in, somehow!
