Anthony Parker, 29, of Holyrood Way, Hartlepool, Teesside, Has been charged for microwaving his pet hamster and killing it . He has been banned from keeping animals for five years .
Anthony Parker admitted to putting the hamster in a microwave oven after a drunk argument with his girlfriend. He claims he did not intend to kill his apparent favorite hamster ''Suzie'' by putting her in the microwave .
The animal is said to have died in agony , Parker receieved a 9 week sentence, only half of which will be served as a custodial sentence.
